Getting better from depression


1.      Remember always to be kind to yourself. Eat well and go for walks.

2.      Make a achievable list to prevent too much procrastinating. (I’m a world champion procrastinator and list maker.) Always put onto the list something you’ve already done so you can check it off straight away.

3.      Join a self help group.

4.      Create a ‘safety net’ for the worst days, such as a ‘special box’ by your bed in which you keep cards and letters that mean positive things for you, photo’s and so on of the good times. Dip into the box at the worst moments.

5.      Treat yourself kindly.
