Dealing with shame and low self-esteem

1.      Accept that the shame we feel is usually not appropriate – nor is guilt that comes with it.

2.      With low self esteem we usually don’t valve ourselves enough. But we can change that by doing little things to look after our body – eating well and looking after our nails, for example. Doing these things is much easier then changing our thinking, but I believe that they can help us to change what we think of ourselves.

3.      Nurture your inner child: listen to him or her; have treats; do things you want to do for a few minutes each day.
