Checking your own breaking


To see if you are breathing too much, count how quickly you breathe right now.

·         Count one breath in and out as “one”.

·         Count the next breath in and out as “two”.

Continue counting this way until one minute has passed. You will probably find it difficult to count your normal breathing rate. As soon as you focus your attention on your breathing it feels faster or slower than normal. Don’t worry, Try to get the best possible of your normal breathing rate and write it be below.

The average person needs to take around 10 – 12 breaths per minutes when relaxed. If you are breathing a lot faster while at rest, you will definitely need to master the slow breathing strategy.
