·         Sit upright or lay flat
·         Relax – with awareness
·         Focus on even, diaphragmatic breath
·         Quieted mind, maintain deeply relaxed body
·         Well established technique
·         Reliable, easy, effective
·         Risk of falling asleep
·         Good way to prepare for mindfulness
·         Start with dominant side (contract or relax)
·         Rest quietly with mind on breath
