Magic Mental Reviver


Lie down or sit down cross legged in a lotus – style position.

·         Close your eyes. Consciously relax any tension in your body. Check that you face, jaw, hands, arms, legs and feel are loose. Allow yourself to sink into and/or feel supported by whatever surface you are sitting or lying on.

·         While mentally following the passage of your breath as it goes in and out, take three or four slow deep breaths. Sometimes it helps to imagine your breath as one colour as it is drawn in and another as it is expelled

·         Now let yourself breathe naturally and easily, while slowly counting backwards from 50 or repeating the alphabet like this: ab... bc... cd... de... ef... etc. Each time a thought enters your mind, return to counting from 50 again or the start of the alphabet.

·         Finish by allowing your mind just too gently floats for a few minutes. (Your body should feel light and ‘floaty’ as well.)

·         Repeat, if you have time.
